What is AHK-Cu

AHK-Cu is a copper tripeptide complex (Ala-His-Lys bound to a copper ion) used topically to stimulate the hair follicle and scalp microcirculation. The chelated copper promotes the expression of VEGF and growth factors, prolonging the anagen phase of the hair cycle and stimulating dermal cell proliferation. The data are mostly in vitro and cosmetic in nature, with widespread use in hair serums.
