What is Cagrilintide
Cagrilintide is a long-acting amylin analog that prolongs satiety, slows gastric emptying, and reduces food intake through a mechanism complementary to that of GLP-1. In Novo Nordisk's phase II studies, it demonstrated relevant weight loss as monotherapy and, combined with semaglutide (CagriSema), achieved greater weight reductions than either agent alone.
