What is Dihexa

Dihexa is an oligopeptide derived from angiotensin IV, developed at Washington State University as a potent promoter of synaptogenesis, described as orders of magnitude more potent than BDNF in in vitro models. It acts by potentiating the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) system and its receptor c-Met, favoring the formation of new synapses. In preclinical models of Alzheimer's disease (McCoy et al., 2013), it improved cognitive performance and showed oral stability unusual for peptides.
