What is Sermorelin

Sermorelin corresponds to the first 29 amino acids of human GHRH, the minimal segment required to stimulate GH release. It was originally approved (Geref) as a diagnostic test for pituitary function and in childhood GH deficiency. It acts by increasing endogenous pulsatile GH secretion while preserving physiological feedback mechanisms.

Side effects

  • •Injection-site reactions, transient facial flushing, headache, dizziness, and, rarely, altered taste. Generally well tolerated.

Contraindications

  • •Active malignancy, pregnancy and lactation, severe pituitary dysfunction, hypersensitivity to the drug. Use caution with corticosteroids, which suppress the GH response.
