What is SNAP-8

SNAP-8 is an acetylated octapeptide (an extension of Argireline) that reduces expression wrinkles by competing with the SNAP-25 protein in the SNARE complex, limiting catecholamine release and local muscle contraction. The mechanism partially mimics the action of botulinum toxin in a topical and reversible manner, without injection. Manufacturer cosmetic studies report a reduction in wrinkle depth with continuous use.
