What is Tesofensine
Tesofensine is an oral inhibitor of norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin reuptake that reduces appetite and increases satiety through central action. Originally investigated for neurodegenerative diseases, it demonstrated in a phase II study (published in The Lancet, 2008) weight loss of approximately 10% over 24 weeks, roughly double that of other agents of the time.
